July 31, 2008 WE ARE WE ARE [NIA]
Honestly, what kind of world do we live in? How can SO many types of people exist? Specifically, teenage girls. Okay, so it's crazy to think that girls who are quiet and shy and only think about books can exist in a world where there are girls the same age across the ocean going to local pubs every night and getting smashed out of their minds. Or you know, the sporty types who live for club leagues and after school
curricular activities...then the artsy types who own their own screen printing kits and a paintbrush is tucked behind one ear and they've got a LOMO camera hanging from a keychain on their back belt loop of their second hand drainpipe pants, sewn with rainbow ribbon to be tighter while they blast some Franz Ferdinand in the background. Or the timid, mousy, incredibly smart girls who lurk in the back of the room and you forget about them most of the time, only to remember them sadly when you happen to glance at their yearbook picture.
And there's the gorgeous bombshells who have everything going for them, like shiny gold hair and freakishly
huge fairy eyes engulfed in black, cakey lashes, in a world where boys kiss the ground they walk on and have
them on speed dial #1 in hopes of actually calling/texting their number someday. Or the tough chicks who
wear baggy guy jeans and black, MOTLEY CRUE tees with huge headphones around their necks and a custom
skateboard in tow. Some girls give up all materialism due to family matters and having to be the moms of
their households. [My heart goes out to these girls who've got the bones to man up and see what's real].
And another one you can't forget are the hippies. Or the WANNABE hippies wearing their peace&love shirts
when they could give a hot d*mn about harmony. There's also the dancers to remember. Even if their faces
are not quite the top notch at times, it's their grace and light steps that all the other girls are going
green with envy over. The dancers can move. Or there are the many sleeze hags who hang around cinema at
night...gross muckrakers! Or the cool coffeeshop girls who saunter in with a smokey eye and a laptop,
waiting for their skim milk caramel latte in a rich blue mug to be catered to their tables as they pour
over their new copy of The Feminine Mystique. And then there are girls like me who have to document everything they see
on the scene with little Japanese charms on their environmentalist bags and a rhinestone here and there with
a notebook under one arm and a manga book under the other. Where do we all fit in? The answer is: I don't think we do. Sure these are all generalizations, but they are ALL true. And the crazy thing is, is that
there are millions more types of girls and people. It's who we are though. The youth of the nation.

July 30, 2008 REVAMPAGE [NIA]
Moshi Moshi! So my room has finally been revamped. FINALLY. You have no idea how releasing it is to clear up the crap that collects
in your dwellings. Geebus bo Heebus. [I used to say that all the time in the 8th grade because I thought it was cool........yeah.......four years later and it still isn't]. Well Erica was a
complete doll and made my bed for me because she saw that I was surviving every night with only a dinky pillow and a plaid flannel sheet....she felt bad.

As you can tell, I have a hat fetish...Trucker hats & Pom Pom beanies are my downfall.
She is so sweet that she gave up her favorite blankie to me ^_^ Sheesh, why does my bed look so tiny? Anyway, I organized the clothing shelves too ^_^
